Beverly Zagofsky MS, LPC has been working with Dr. Weinstein in the field of Plastic Surgery as his Cosmetic Counselor for the past 19 years. As part of Dr. Weinstein’s practice she counsels patients on breast reconstruction following breast cancer, smoking cessation, post traumatic stress syndrome and body dysmorphic disorder. She helps patients with changing body image and other aspects of adjusting to cosmetic surgery.

Beverly Zagofsky also has a private practice and accepts many of the insurance companies. She is a Licensed Family and Marriage Counselor with expertise in Couples, bi-polar disorders, adolescents, and individual counseling.

Practice Description:    I specialize in couples counseling. Many of my clients have been dating for a while and want to enter into the next step, which is marriage. They are frightened about long term commitment.  Other couples are in a marriage that over the years feel less intimate and have lost love and closeness in their relationships.

I believe that in Counseling, using skills of communication, compromise and commitment can revitilize a strained marriage and help to solidify a dating couple into a long term relationship.

I also counsel adolescents, and teenagers and their parents.  This a very rough time in their lives and often feel isolated with no one to speak to.  It is important to get guidance from an adult who will listen nonjudgementally and help them to make good choices.
